Supporting a multi-day event with a complex programme through Networkapp
CWW is an internationally recognized conference dedicated to sharing the latest scientific research on wind energy. Its primary goal is to bring together researchers, scientists, and industry professionals to deepen their understanding of wind energy and collaborate on solutions to the most pressing challenges facing wind farms. Together with event organizer deCongresbalie, this edition took place in April and was supported by Networkapp. The conference is held twice a year, and this was the first edition to use the platform.
“The app served as both a digital programme guide and a tool for participants to exchange knowledge and ask questions, while also enabling the organizers to communicate directly with attendees. It was a natural extension of the conference website, completely aligned with its look and feel”, says Anke Peters of deCongresbalie. Networkapp also made networking more accessible throughout the event. “Participants made extensive use of the app. They connected with one another, asked questions, and actively shared answers. The platform even sparked spontaneous activities, from early morning and late evening swims in the sea to participants arranging shared taxi rides together.”
CWW and the features of Networkapp
During the conference, the organizers made use of one of Networkapp’s interactive features: Live Voting. “The live voting feature was excellent. It was very easy to use and provided a clear overview of the results. The only thing we missed was a word cloud feature. Other than that, the app is extremely easy to configure and very user-friendly from an organizer’s perspective.”
Anke Peters was highly enthusiastic about the overall experience: “We would absolutely recommend Networkapp. In fact, I would happily use it again myself, and our client was equally pleased with the platform.
