EVENTS in Company looks back on a successful online event with Networkapp and Business Games
In 2022, Corpag, an international company in the financial sector, celebrated its 50th anniversary. EVENTS in Company was entrusted with managing and coordinating the company’s anniversary event, supported by partners Networkapp and Business Games. With more than 120 participants from 21 countries, the primary objective was to create meaningful connections between colleagues, regardless of their location. The online event was designed to actively involve employees from around the world in celebrating the company’s milestone anniversary.
International interaction and engagement
As employees were spread across multiple time zones, the event was held twice on the same day. This allowed as many participants as possible to join during their regular working hours. Thanks to an engaging interactive game and Networkapp’s time zone feature, participants from across the globe remained highly engaged throughout the event. EVENTS in Company had previously experienced the Networkapp platform as participants themselves.
“We were first introduced to Networkapp during a Sustainable Aviation Table event in 2021. When organizing this event, we chose Networkapp because of its professional look, functionality, and ease of use. What particularly appealed to us were the floating profile bubbles, which give online participants the feeling that they’re truly attending the event together”, says Hester de Vries. “We chose to make the Networkapp platform the foundation of the event, from participant registration and profile creation with fun facts, to the plenary sessions, breakout rooms, and the final wrap-up.”
An interactive game
The client’s goal was to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary in a festive online setting while actively involving employees. “We wanted participants to play an international team game together. That’s how we came into contact with Business Games. We selected the game Happiness Around the World because of its fun factor and international appeal. Business Games then customized the game in several ways, making it fully tailored to the client’s wishes. The game was played in teams, partly during the plenary session and partly in breakout rooms.”
Karen Lagerweij concludes: “We received extremely positive feedback from both the participants and the client. The game was interactive, challenging, enjoyable, and perfectly suited to an international audience.”
A seamless experience thanks to rehearsals
In the lead-up to the event, several rehearsal sessions were organized to ensure that every part of the programme would transition smoothly. The goal was to guarantee a flawless event experience. During the live event, no technical issues arose that the Networkapp team could not resolve immediately on the spot.
